What is your teaching style?

We teach you to spot patterns in the Quran, not traditional Arabic grammar. The curriculum is built around Schmidt's Noticing Hypothesis, which is the idea that when you consciously notice patterns in a language, you absorb them much faster. On top of that, we use spaced repetition so the words you learn get reviewed at just the right time, helping them stick in your long-term memory.

Where does the 82.6% figure come from?

We counted the actual word occurrences in the Quran. The words in our curriculum appear 64,282 times out of approximately 77,800 total words in the Holy Qur'an. That gives us 82.6%. These are not random words chosen arbitrarily; they are the words that show up again and again throughout the Quran.

What translation or source do you use for meanings?

We draw from Saheeh International and The Clear Quran, along with other well-known and trusted translations. We pick the explanation that is clearest and most accurate for each word, rather than sticking to just one source throughout.

Is it really possible to understand 80% of the Quran in 90 days?

Accepted Answer

It is, as long as you spend around 15 minutes a day going through the lessons and reviewing what you have already learned. The key is showing up consistently, not cramming. Small daily effort over 90 days adds up more than you might expect.

What is the Noticing Hypothesis?

It comes from linguist Richard Schmidt. His research showed that people learn a language much more effectively when they pay conscious attention to its patterns, rather than just passively hearing or reading it. In practice, this means you will start recognising Arabic word roots and verb forms naturally as you work through the lessons.

What is spaced repetition and how does it work?

It is a revision technique where you review each word just before you are likely to forget it. As you get more comfortable with a word, the gap between reviews grows longer. This way you spend less time on things you already know and more time on things that need reinforcement.

Do I need any Arabic knowledge to start?

No prior knowledge is needed at all. If you can read and recite the Quran, even without understanding a word of it, you are ready to begin. The lessons are designed to work for complete beginners.

How do you make sure each Qur'anic word is linked to the right verses?

We use al-Mu'jam al-Mufahras li-Alfaz al-Qur'an al-Karim by Muhammad Fu'ad Abd al-Baqi as our reference. It is a standard scholarly concordance that lists every word in the Quran and every verse it appears in. We cross-check our word-to-verse mappings against it to make sure everything is accurate.
